The CALCOPLASTICA is a screen printing ink the type of plastisol, for the direct or indirect decoration of natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool, etc.).
It has very good resistance to mechanical abrasion, to stretch, to continuous washes and to perspiration, but it does not withstand dry washes. In addition, it has an excellent resistance to atmospheric agents and its high covering power allows the stamping of dark fabrics.
Applications
It is used for the printing of sports shirts, jogging, work clothes, labels, etc.
In the field advertising is used for the printing of flags, bags, bags and umbrellas. Recommended mesh: from 24 to 77 threads / cm.
How to Use
Indirect decoration: the impression with the inverted image is made on silicon paper and then, by means of heat or platen press, that image is transferred to the fabric. In the printing on the silicon paper, it is necessary to pre-dry or polymerise at a temperature between 90 ° C and 110 ° C (194°F and 230 °F), depending on the thickness of the ink film, in about 10 seconds.
The transfer of the image is done by means of heat or platen press, making sure that the pressure exerted is constant throughout the surface, at a temperature between 170 ° C and 190 ° C (338 °F and 374 °F). Once the operation is completed, make sure that it has completely cooled before removing the paper from the fabric.
It is important not to exceed the temperature indicated in the pre-drying.
Direct decoration: it is the impression that is made directly on the fabric. The drying times are greater than that used in the indirect decoration. The temperature required for drying varies between 150 °C and/or 160 °C (302 °F and/or 320 °F), obtained by means of oven, infrared rays, hot air, etc.
Screen: Solvent-resistant screen with open meshes (from 34 to 48 threads per cm) will be used, and the washing can be done with our product "Slow Viscosity Reducer 145" (Code 9145).
